Borne@Chiswick Bridge is a friendly Tideway Regatta, first raced nearly eighty years ago. Bring your mum, friends & pets for a full day out and hope the weather is kind.

Special note for crews coming from Putney

The PLA have kindly agreed that crews coming from Putney to race can paddle through the new mooring buoys, ideally accompanied by a launch and not between 1220 and 1530.

Crews must ensure they travel when there is plenty of water in the river as various sections of the river are not passable when the tide is low (Low tide is approx 1420 at Putney so at least 2 hours before this). Remember that your own safety and equipment remain your responsibility at all times, Borne @ Chiswick Bridge regatta cannot be held liable. (Rule 4)

Poor weather cancellation policy

The weather forecast for today is not great, there are high winds (with gusting conditions) expected. The river is also swollen with rainwater from the past few weeks of rain.
It may not be possible to safely run some events (particularly inexperienced singles and Juniors, but not exclusively these events).

Please be in close contact with race control before boating to check whether your race is being run. We will try to move races where possible.

If we have to cancel your race, we will try to offer a partial refund after the regatta, however as most of our costs are upfront and non-refundable (launches, radio hire..) this is not likely to be the full amount.
